This study explores the evolving role of non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) in the market economy, focusing on their impact in both Russia and abroad. NGOs are integral to societal development, addressing social, cultural, and charitable needs while contributing to national economic growth. The research examines the theoretical and practical aspects of NGO operations, emphasizing their entrepreneurial component and the mechanisms that enhance their involvement in the economy. Drawing from the work of scholars like T.V. Yuryeva, M.L. Makalskaya, and P.Yu. Gamolsky, this study analyzes the relationship between NGOs and sustainable development, particularly in regions like Uzbekistan. The findings highlight the significance of improving the management efficiency of NGOs through institutional frameworks. By reviewing different scientific perspectives, including those of sociologists and economists, the study discusses how NGOs function within a broader social context. Key theories propose that NGOs serve as vital instruments for strengthening societal ties and ensuring social justice. Furthermore, the research examines the state’s role in supporting NGOs through benefits like tax exemptions, which incentivize their participation in major social programs. The conclusion underscores the importance of fostering an environment conducive to NGO growth through both governmental support and academic research, with implications for NGO development in Uzbekistan.
