Abstract

This study explores the potential of leveraging international experiences to improve the efficiency of tourist-recreational zones, focusing on sustainable development and competitive growth. Despite significant efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure, knowledge gaps remain in effectively adapting global best practices to local contexts. A qualitative methodology was employed, analyzing case studies from countries like Switzerland, Japan, and the UAE, renowned for their innovative approaches to tourism management. Findings indicate that integrating eco-tourism, digital transformation, and public-private partnerships can significantly enhance the appeal and functionality of tourist-recreational zones. Results underscore the importance of tailoring international strategies to regional characteristics, fostering sustainable growth while preserving cultural heritage. The study implies that adopting these practices can position emerging destinations, such as Uzbekistan, as competitive players in the global tourism market.
